Friday, April 17, 2008: our office has been
open and busy every day of April. The webmaster was away for about ten
days investigating Grand Lake's twin in the Himalayas. Some server difficulties
prevented us from putting in updates earlier this week. We now have a backlog
of interesting things to share. The winners of our Icebreaker contest will be
announced very soon. We will share eerie similarities and differences with
out twin in Tibet. For potential buyers, this is your time. Later today will be
putting up information on summer rentals.. Lots of updates coming. Please stand by,
and thank you for your patience. We will make it worth your while.

There is still time to enter our Ice Breaker contest.
As you can see from the camera views from Sunday, March 29, the ice was thick enough
for two people to go out on it and reset the tree after it had been blown over by high winds.
Click here to visit the page dedicated to our annual contest. There are still a number of
days in April that people have not guessed for when the tree will go through the ice,
so your chances of winning can be high. Send in your entry to relax@MountainLake.com

Guess when the tree set on the Grand Lake will break through
the ice and WIN DINNER for TWO at a fine restaurant in Grand Lake Village.
There will also be runner-up prizes. The sooner you send in your guess
and claim a day and time, the more likely you will win. If you wait until the
just before the ice thaws, the day for the tree to drop will already be claimed.

It has been rather cloudy and snowy lately and hard get a nice clear pictures.
We will try to make some improvements on the images very soon. In previous years
of this contest, the pictures had a date stamp on them. The clock in the camera
seems to have died. There is however, a hidden date stamp on the images as they
arrive in our server refreshed every ten minutes.

When the tree vanishes, that is your sign to put away your skis and come up and
enjoy Springtime in the Rockies.
First Prize winner receives dinner for two at a fine
restaurant in Grand Lake. We allow just one guess per family. You may change your guess,
but it will erase your earlier guess and move up your claim for a particular date.
Guesses will not be published. We will keep a record of them on a calendar.
They must be submitted in writing by e-mail, regular mail or by hand delivery
to our office. The sooner you stake your claim on a particular date, the more
likely you'll be the first one to claim that date. If several entries have the correct date,
the prize will go to the family who submitted the most accurate entry the earliest.
Specifying a time of day can improve your entry for a particular day.

Camera is just now being reset. We will be tweaking the links below.
