extensive on going program to maximize the habitat for trout. Riffles and pools were improved and augmented years ago.

Personal note: way back in 1979, your webmaster here was taking an upper level course in stream biology and water management.
His professor was active working on maximizing the riparian environment for the Ouray Ranch which was just being developed
as we see it today. He showed slides of his work here to his class. Before it was Ouray Ranch as shown here, it was part of the YMCA .....
which moved to and developed its enormous Snow Mountain Ranch area in the highlands between Granby and Fraser.
Chief Ouray is another story ....
