In the distance is 13,500' Arapaho Peak on the Continental Divide. It often has much snow on it from October to July
In the fall and winter, mists rise in interesting ways from Shadow Mountain Lake.
In the afternoon, the eastward views become very sharp and then enhanced with alpenglow in the evening.
