Rose wrote in description about her life before Hogwarts:
Hello! My name is Rose Zandra Swan. I teach your Potions
and Muggle Studies classes. I have taught here since March 2003. When I reward
for homework you may get many different things depending on how well you
do on the subject or if you do the extra credit. Before I came here I was
an enchantress and I danced in Las Vegas with the Muggles. I went to school
in Hawaii. If any of you guys can surf I would like to trade notes. The school
I went to was the top one in the United States. The name of it was
‘Ho'okalakupuna (Magic) Ola (Life) a (and) Hiki (able to) Hula (Dance) Ho'okalakupuna
(Magic) Hula (Dance). For short we called it Ho’okalakupuna Ola a me Hula
(Magic Life and Dance) or Ola a me Hula (Life and Dance.) We learned to dance
while mesmerized others with the ancient Hula. I hope that you will enjoy
