***Hogwarts Song***
Here you sing the Hogwarts songs for the first
years.
Sing at your own tempo:
"Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hoggy Warty Hogwarts,
Teach us something please,
Whether we be old and bald,
Or young with scabby knees,
Our heads could do with filling
With some interesting stuff,
For now they're bare and full of air,
Dead flies and bits of fluff,
So teach us things worth knowing,
Bring back what we forgot,
Just do your best, we'll do the rest,
And learn until our brains all rot."
Oh,
I'm the sorting hat,
A rough old piece of cloth,
But I've a tale to old to tell,
So just put me on your head.
I'll sort you out,
I know my stuff,
In four houses you'll go
your separate ways,
to face the school year ahead,
It's not by your choice that you'll
do good or bad in the house I chose you for.
If I sort you into Hufflepuff,
then a fair one you must truly be,
Or if you go into Slytherin,
others will beware your evil ways,
Perhaps you'll go in Ravenclaw,
from which the wise and clever emerge,
Or finally for a lucky few Griffendor is your way,
for the brave ones who lack no courage
will always turn out good,
So try me on,
I'll do the rest,
And sorted you will be!
Come one Come all
Come young Come old
Come sit beneath my rim
'Cause I'm the Hogwarts hat
Come sit
I will sort you out
into the houses you belong
If you fear only fear its self
And have always been quite brave
Then come and I will sort you into Griffindor
But if you are the humble type,
and your friends think you are just
then Hufflepuff is where you'll be.
In Ravenclaw you must be wise
let learning be your style
And last but not leastis Slytherin
where evil is your style,
you're coniving, sly, and clever
not in a witty way
now all of you
please listen up to what I have to say
Don't hide your thoughts
with false ones
I can see deep in your head
So...
Come one come all
Come young Come old
Come place me on your head
For I'm the sorting hat
Help the sorting hat make up a song and earn
1 point and 1 knut for each line of the poem!!!
