***Chapter Three: The Broom Guide 101***

Ratings are based on the broom overall and 1 is lowest and five is highest!

Shooting Star: This is a great broomstick, with a handle fashioned in the same as a Firebolt, but old. Madam Pomfrey even stated to have learned on this broom!! Has slow speed but good turning. (Rating:3)

Comet Two-Sixty: A great broom and the oldest in the Comet line. It boasts reliable turning and average speed.
Good for novice beaters because it is a very stable broom. (Rating:3.5)

Comet Seven:Newest of the comet line and a fine broom indeed, it has reasonable speed and great turning!! It has the Comfi-Grip technology as with most new brooms. (Rating: 4.5)

Comet Two-Seventy: A good broom and the middle line of the Comets and a fine one indeed. Good speed and quite fine turning!! I learned to fly on one of these!! (Rating: 3.5)

(Note: Most subsequent brooms have Comfi-Grip)

Polish: A fine broom for most with average speed and the greatest turning, I mean this broom turns on a DIME!! great for beaters because of stability. (Priced at: 10 Knuts) (Rating: 4)

Hairs Comber: A fine broom indeed, but not good for travel because of its quite uncomfortable grip, but otherwise an all around broom. (Priced at: 2 Sickles) (Rating: 4)

Speedling 738: As the name implies a very fast broom nearly at the top speed of a Firebolt, it has great braking and turns on HALF A DIME!! It has acceleration matching that of a Firebolt. It is a very great broom for chasers and seekers, and if you are good at balancing after a hit Keepers!!
(Priced at: 8 Sickles) (Rating:4.5!)

Wind Devil 01: DISCONTINUED

Wind Devil 02: a great broom boasting a top speed matching a Firebolt and the acceleration of Nimbus 2001, it has great turning, but sadly lacks in the braking department. Great for seekers.
(Price: 15 Sickles)  (Rating: 4.5)

Nimbus 2000: almost matches a Firebolt in every category but speed and acceleration, but great for any position!!
(Price: 1 Galleon) (Rating: 5!!!!!!!!!!)

Nimbus 2001: Matches a Firebolt in speed, acceleration, and
turning, but that causes it to lack in braking and stability.
That's ok though because this is really for racing!!
(Price:1 Galleon, 9 Sickles)  (Rating:4.5)

Firebolt: Top dog in every way!! This broom is great for everything, from racing, Quidditch, traveling and BEYOND!!
(Price:3 Galleons)  (Rating:6!) The price is worth it, and this broom is great for every position.
