River Cabin is by the Tunnel Road Bridge, just two blocks from Grand Lake's Boardwalk Shops and Restaurants. There are several scenic walking routes into town and your choice of 2 bridges to cross! River Elf has dramatic frontage by a rushing mountain stream. It is a very short walk from Rocky Mountain National Park trailheads. During the winter, one can snowmobile from the cabin's front door. During the summer, Grand Lake's big public beach beckons from 3 blocks away.
River Cabin has queen-sized beds in 2 distinctive rooms, each with its own personality. The third bedroom has a full size (double) bed. There are two baths, one with a comfortable tub, the other with a large shower that is somewhat handicap friendly. All of the rooms are on a single level with wide doorways and close-in parking to make this location best for people who need an easy place to get around.
When you step into the River Cabin, you are in the living room with log ceiling beams, and lots of windows facing the river. A few steps away is the kitchen / dining area. Deep in the cabin is the River Room: an historic reading & writing room with a split log ceiling and walls. Open the windows (even just a little) and you'll hear river music (or in the Winter, the singing pines).
Minimum Rental is 30 days. Fresh towels and sheets are available at our office two blocks away. There is no washer or dryer. The town has a laundromat. There is a DVD player. A video rental store is in Grand Lake Village.
