Scroll down for two more views from the dwelling. Every winter, Lake Granby
is drawn down to be ready to catch the annual runoff from snow melting in the deep
folds of the Indian Peaks Wilderness and from far north in Rocky Mountain National
Park to the beginnings of the Colorado River. Water is also pumped UP to Lake Granby
from two locations (Windy Gap and Willow Creek reservoirs) so that even snow melt
from Byers Peak (shown above) can make it into Lake Granby. This movement of water
makes for excellent fishing year-round. Property owners at Beacon Landing have quick
access to the marina in front that maintains an array of floating docks. Scroll down for

If you lived here, you would have the opportunity to LIVE within amazing scenes of mists rising from the lake.
The misting continues right up to around Christmas Day or New Years Eve when Lake Granby finally freezes over.
